the Artist

Pete is a self studied Wisconsin based independent artist. His focus is acrylic painting specializing in imaginative story telling artwork. His paintings are often described “like being dropped off in the middle of a book”. Origin stories are blurred leaving space for the viewers own narratives.

He depicts scenes of mystery and discovery, legends and lore, strange encounters and unexplained anomalies. His believable compositions aim at a dream-like vibe with intense colors, vivid light and shadow, and engaging action. Pete’s curiosity of the past, the mysteries of the natural world, and enthusiasm for exploration are the foundations for all of his work.

Pete has worked as a professional artist for the last decade creating paintings, prints, and commissioned artworks that hang in homes all over the world. He currently serves as a board member for the Wisconsin Aliance of Artisans and Craftspeople. When not “arting” heʼs trying to make you laugh, building something with his hands, enjoying time in the wild and generally trying to resist the slow boil of the New World Order.
